Healthiness Metrics

The Healthiness metric is a measure of how well a schedule's shift assignments meet the Healthiness requirements defined by HCA..

Healthiness exceptions occur due to the following scenarios:

Overtime

More than 5 Consecutive Work Days (5 10-Hr Days)

More than 5 Consecutive 8's (8-Hr Days)

More than 4 Consecutive 10's (10-Hr Days)

More than 3 Consecutive 12's (12-Hr Days)

Rotating Shifts

The Healthiness Unit Score is calculated by dividing the Total # of Occurrences by the Total # of Scheduled Slots.

Where:

Scheduled Slots = the number of cells on the schedule with an assigned shift code
