Cancellation Reasons: Standardized List

Cancellation categories and reasons are managed from the Admin > Cancellation Reasons screen. Once created and associated with a division, facility and/or department, cancellation categories and reasons are immediately available for selection when cancelling assignments and running cancellation reports.

Users: Access to this feature is limited to users assigned the PI Labor Corporate Administrator role and Cancellation Reasons - Configure permission .

The table below lists standard cancellation types, reasons, and when to use them.

Employee Cancel Non U/A*	Bereavement	Approved bereavement per policy
	Jury Duty	Employee Required Jury Duty - Provide summons to leader
	Flu	Reported Flu
	COVID-19 Vaccine Reaction	Employee calls out due to CONFIRMED REACTION TO RECEIVING THE COVID-19 VACCINE
	COVID-19 Exposure	Employee calls out due to EXPOSURE TO CONFIRMED COVID-19 OR EMPLOYEE TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19
	KinCare	Union contracts that allow staff to call out to care for a sick child or family member (California-Specific)
Employee Cancel U/A*	Lack of Child Care	Employee called to cancel due to a lack of child care
	Cancel by Self	Employee called out due to personal issues, weather, etc.
	Sick-Self	Employee called out sick
	Sick Family Member	Employee called out due to a sick family member (Spouse, SO, Child, Mother, Father, Mother-in-law, Father-in-law, Grandparents)
Employee Cancel U/A* (NCNS)	No Call No Show	Employee failed to show up for scheduled shift without contacting facility/leader
Facility Cancel	Administrative	Any reason the facility mandated an employee not to come in (expired credential/license or suspended)
	Scheduling Error	Used to identify shifts that we removed after posting due to entry error
	Low Census	The planned staffing was appropriate, bu the census dropped and the staff member wasn't needed elsewhere.

*U/A = Unscheduled Absence
